A Note From Mr. Pohl
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that we are close to ending our first nine weeks. This year is truly going at a fast pace. Our sixth grade students are no longer “new” students, our 7th and 8th graders have transitioned to the block schedule and all of our students are showing a great deal of school pride and spirit. Both debate and boys’ soccer won a city championship, and we had a very successful fund drive for the United Way. The SCA hosted their first dance of the year and our first ever haunted hallway for students and community. We are preparing for our first spirit assembly of the year where our Panther Pride will be loud and proud! Our students are off to the best start of the year yet!
We will soon issue report cards, November 23rd; however, you should have access to your child’s grades through our SchoolNet Parent Portal. If you have not yet had a chance to sign up, please do so via our home page. Once you are signed on bring a photo ID and your verification number to the school during normal operating hours. Please keep open communications with all of your child’s teacher as well as their guidance counselor if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I look forward to celebrating with the many students who make honor roll as well as principal’s list. As you may know, we started our after school tutoring program in mid-October. We will start tutoring both before and after school at the start of the second nine weeks. Tutoring always follows the same schedule.
Monday – English Tuesday – math Wednesday – science Thursday – social studies.
If you have any questions about the schedule please check our home page or contact the school. These sessions are encouraged for any student with a grade of a C or below and open to any student who needs extra assistance.
As always, thank you for all of your support. It is my joy to work with all of our students and the community as we continue to make PAMS the best middle school at the beach.

A Word from Our PAMS PTA President...
We are off to a great start this school year and are please to see so many people getting involved! It's exciting to be a part of such a great school. Please remember to join the PTA and contribute to the Stress Free Fundraiser. These are easy ways to support the school and benefit the students. There are membership/fundraiser forms in the office, or on the PAMS PTA website (pamspta.com). As always, if you have any questions, or want to get involved but are not sure how, please do not hesitate to call or email me. Remember: "If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito" (Betty Reese)
- Participate in the STRESS FREE FUNDRAISER. In lieu of traditional fundraising, such as selling wrapping paper, cookie dough, candy, etc., we ask parents to give a ONE time donation. Your $20.00 tax deductible donation will greatly aid in financing our programs.
- PTA Membership is another way to help us meet our goals for this school year. By joining, you are helping to enrich the lives of our wonderful Panthers. Please join either at one of the Open Houses or fill out the form on the next page and send it in with your child.
- VOLUNTEER...in the classroom, on a committee, or as a Board member. There is always room for more volunteers. Fill out the volunteer form or email me for any more information.
Together, we will make this a great school year!
